Well our elected government certainly seems to believe so. Not very much that comes out of our Parliament has much basis of truth these days. So why indeed shouldn't this illegal immigrant lie his way to the top – at least he didn't cheat and would have been vetted at every step of his career, until caught.

Dear Appealing, I think there are worse ways for illegal immigrants to behave than by defending their Queen (this was a chap from a Commonwealth country, let's not forget) and working hard, also I should imagine paying taxes. That is exactly the kind of person we should allow to remain, I reckon.

I used to think that British people were nice but why are we seemingly so obsessed with immigration that newspapers can churn out this nonsense seemingly non-stop?

It's a bit unfair to call them lazy, pointless drones in Canary Wharf, Anton.
